S1 Finale – And that's a wrap!
Hi everyone
I just wanted to come on for a quick chat with you all to close out season one of our havin the chats podcast.
Cant actually believe we've finished season one already!
A massive thank you to all of our guests who shared their stories with us – all of whom highlighted the fact that even when we're facing the unknown and struggling to see a way through such adversity, through sheer perseverance and fight, we battle on and never give up hope.
Something so relevant for the times we find ourselves in now.
I think they also showed us how having a support system, no matter how big or small, can have a lasting impact and can literally change the outcome of a situation, and this really is one of the main reasons for this podcast – sharing our stories in the hope that it helps someone listening in to feel like there is hope and that they're not alone.
A huge thank you to all of you for listening in to us having our chats – it's very much appreciated and we love the feedback and hearing how the stories have meant so much to you all.
From the amazing story of Natalie and her strong-willed warrior Liam who was born at 27 weeks, Una's incredible road to recovery after suffering a catastrophic brain injury after her fall from a horse, my own health journey with Chronic Urticaria and Bels Palsy to the superstar team of Alex and Ronan – who's story of carer and partner battling through and surviving sepsis was just remarkable – and not forgetting this weeks episode with Shiona on the great loss of losing her mam Noreen to cancer.
I think it's safe to say they all took us on a journey with their stories and have shown such resilience and courage throughout, with a sprinkling of laughs along the way!
So we're going to take a short break for now, but don't worry, season two is already in planning!
